Dryden Entertainment Series

The Dryden Entertainment Series (DES) brings diverse, live performances to Dryden, offering a variety of acts
including music, theater, dance, and comedy. Since its early days in the 1990s, DES has hosted concerts by
both well-known artists and emerging talent, drawing acts across genres like classical, folk, jazz, blues, and
Indigenous music. The series helped advocate for the creation of the Dryden Performing Arts Centre, where

Dryden Youth Entertainment Series

The Dryden Youth Entertainment Series (DYES) brings cultural and educational performances to children and youth, with shows ranging from puppetry to dance and circus. Led by passionate parents, DYES fosters creativity and a love of learning in young audiences. The season runs from September to May at The Centre. Celebrate Indigenous Culture

 

Each summer, Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation and Eagle Lake First Nation host vibrant traditional Pow Wows on the shores of Wabigoon Lake and Eagle Lake. In addition to these gatherings, Dryden also hosts The Leonard Sky Memorial Powwow at Dryden High School and The National Indigenous People's Day Powwow at the Dryden Memorial Arena, these events are beautiful celebrations of culture and welcome visitors from across Canada and are open for all to attend..

Sunset Drive-in Theatre

Experience movies under the stars at the Sunset Drive-In Theatre, featuring upgraded FM sound and a 4K digital projector for a unique and unforgettable experience. The Dryden Artists Association

The Dryden Artists Association (TDAA) supports visual artists of all skill levels in the Dryden area, fostering creativity and collaboration. Members can enjoy workshops, retreats, and community activities while learning from one another. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, TDAA provides opportunities to explore various mediums like watercolor, acrylic, and fabric. Membership is just $20/year and offers access to exclusive events and workshops. Join the Facebook group for more information or to become a member.

Naked North Art Gallery and Gifts

Naked North Gallery and Gifts, also known as Naked North Art Gallery, is an art gallery comprised of an association of local artists who craft acrylic paintings, hand quilting and weaving, felted accessories, jewellery, pencil drawings, portraits, photography and stained glass pieces, amongst other creative pieces.

Dryden Go-Getters Activity Centre

The Dryden Go-Getters is a non-profit organization for those 50 and older, offering a wide range of activities
and events. With a new 2,500 sq. ft. addition to their building in 2023, they provide ample space for various
programs and functions. Events include pancake breakfasts, spaghetti dinners, social dances, and more,
while daily activities feature line dancing, shuffleboard, bingo, and carpentry. Open to everyone, the Go-Getters encourage drop-ins to enjoy coffee, meet new people, and participate in activities that promote fun and socializing. Memberships are available for those 50 and older.

Association Des Francophones du Nord-Quest de L'Ontario

A non-profit organization, AFNOO represents Francophones in Northwestern Ontario by developing tools and resources aimed at facilitating the integration of Francophones into the community while providing undeniable support to organizations in the region.
