Did you know?

The Dryden & District Museum actually has a name? It is called the Hambleton House after some of it's earliest owners.

Did you know?

The grounds of City Hall were the original site of Dryden's second school built in 1908 to accommodate the growing number of students. 

Did you know?

Traces of the mill located in Dryden can be seen in the towns history as early as 1908 when the Gordon Brothers owned a sawmill on the opposite side of the river. 

Did you know?

Long before it became known as Cooper Park, the banks of the Wabigoon River were a meeting place for the Anishinaabe peoples who called the land Paawidigong, meaning "The Place of the Rapids."

Did you know?

The large white building at the corner of King Street and Earl Avenue is called Swanson Block after Swan Swanson, the original owner who helped transform Dryden from a railroad stop to a commercial hub.

Did you know?

Dryden came to be after The Honourable John Dryden, Minister of Agriculture, saw clover growing along the railway and he deemed it suitable for farming.
